Claudia L. Tobar Valencia (< claudiawinelover@gmail.com >) is an adventurous, Salsa-loving Colombian woman who moved from Cali to Buenos Aires for Argentina’s awesome wines. Claudia is now on board the Pretense Pullman train, enjoying the team and loving the combination of design, art, creativity—and Malbec. Claudia always smiles while she works on Pretense, and usually smiles when she isn’t, as well.
Morgan Friedman (< morgan@westegg.com >) drinks wine every Wednesday night. Sometimes other nights, too. He spends his time translating medieval literature to modern slang. Penguin has published two of his books, he was the Time Magazine Coolest Blogger of the Year, and has been featured in the Times, the Post, on CNN, and all around the media. He was graduated from the University of Pennsylvania and is just pretentious enough to say “was graduated” rather than “graduated.”
Also known as The Frenchie, Lorene (< lorenasnow@gmail.com >) came to Buenos Aires from the south of France, where she was studying for an MBA. Obsessed with snowboarding, she is quirky and thrives on ridiculous ideas. Her love for good wine and her envy of the foreign lifestyle led her to move to Argentina. Of course, she will never admit that Argentine wine is better than French wine.
